I love Halloween. There’s something magical about the chill in the air, lit-up pumpkins dotting neighborhood porches and little ghosts and goblins echoing “Trick or Treat” door-to-door. For me, children’s Halloween books capture this enchantment. Although my son is now 12 and thinks he’s well past the age of reading Halloween books with me, I still load up on them at the library. I have fun looking through them, and, who knows, my little goblin may come around (I saw him peeking at them earlier) as the big night approaches.
